Each finely potted, painted in a vibrant ‘famille-rose’ palette with a central lotus flower set within a border of four petal-shaped cartouches containing ladies and boys at play, long tailed song birds perched amongst peony blooms all reserved against a gilt, rouge-de-fer and enamel lotus design, the petal-shaped rims with four quatre-lobed cartouches containing butterflies amongst sprays of peonies and begonias, all against a pink diaper work ground.
