A rare pair of Chinese export porcelain vases, each of shouldered tapering form and well painted in ‘famille-rose’ enamels. With detailed elaborate landscape panels depicting silk production and rice cultivation processes derived from the Gengzhi tu, a set of illustrations of silk production and rice cultivation from the Song dynasty. Both vases reserved on a ground of gilt scrolling foliage, the foot and rim of each with a spearhead border.
