A charming pair of early 18th century carved walnut side chairs. The shaped crest with central vase-shaped splat and turned uprights having drop-in seat covered in 18th century French gros-point needlework; on cabriole legs with carved harebell motif to the knee terminating in pad feet.

Note: Bearing paper label on under side 'Cecilia Countess of Strathmore'. Needlework restored
