The folding flaps reveal a blind-tooled green baize lined surface. Each door reveals an open compartment and a single drawer. The long drawers are each fitted with an inkwell drawer to the side. The brass handles are of later date. Each long drawer bears the paper label ‘A. And M. COLERIDGE COLLECTION’.

An almost identical single bonheur-du-jour stamped ‘Gillows’ is in the collection of Lancaster City Museum.
