The pair of stunning and sizable vases are very well painted in the mandarin palette with Chinese domestic scenes in the panels to the neck and body of the front and on the reverse with similarly decorated panels beneath the stylized dragon handles on each side. The gilt and iron-red handles are in the form of a stylized dragon. The covers are surmounted with celestial kylins.

Short hairline to one neck and to one cover repaired invisibly
