A Fine Pair of Louis XVI Style Gilt-Bronze and Moulded-Glass Three-Light Cherub Wall Appliqués by La Compagnie des Cristalleries de Baccarat.

Each appliqué having an oval acanthus cast backplate issuing three scolling candle arms supported by a finally modelled putti figure and terminaing in a circular gadronned nozzle and glass drip pans. The appliques hung all over with faceted drops and swags.

The design for these unusual and sophisticated appliqués is illustrated in Baccarat’s ‘Tarif des Articles d’Eclairace’, from the turn of the Century.
