These impressive and enormous candelabra with their extravagant ormolu mounts would have been a special commission.

A drawing by Blades for similar candelabra is preserved in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.

A similar set of candelabra was commissioned by the King of Persia, and another set is in the collection of the Sultan of Brunei.
