Old English pattern with bright cut handles. Hallmark for London 1805. Maker’s Mark T.H. for a number of silver flatware makers, including Thomas Hobbs and Thomas Holland. Bright cut engraving was an elegant decoration generally found on the Old English pattern of flatware and was most favoured between 1770 and 1805. It involved cutting facets from the surface of silver to create a bright, reflective appearance.
