Set in gilt-metal Mount with velvet reverse

It has not been possible to ascertain further details about the sitter but clearly she was a Lady of note and well connected to have had her portraits taken by Meyer, who was Painter in Miniatures and Enamels to King George III
A little faded, as so many of Meyer's work can be. Minor signs of old cleaned mould spots in the background
