Wearing a blue coat and white bag wig
set in gold frame with pearl border, the reverse with initial T of seed pearl on blue glass medallion set beneath locks of hair tied with seed pearls and gold wire, below is a further blue medallion with the word L'armour made of seed pearl

This is typical token of affection, which would have been commissioned to present to someone very close to the sitter such as a wife, mistress, mother or lover
Scratches to the edge of the glass. Some pearls reglued.
