in gold fausse-montre frame with split-pearl border, the reverse with two-coloured plaited hair within split-pearl border, surrounded by translucent emerald-green enamel on guilloche ground and blue and white enamel border

Engleheart’s fee book records various portraits of the Masterman family: a Mr. Masterman and a Miss Masterman for the year 1787 and the same for 1789.
