The King in profile to the left wearing ermine robe, sash and Star of the Order of the Garter

Inscribed May he live,/ Longer than I have time to tell his years!/ Ever belov'd and loving may his rule be!/ And when old time shall lead him to his end,/ Goodness and he fill up one Monument!/.

This print was engraved by Wellings after one of his own silhouettes.

For another identical print in the collection of Her Majesty the Queen cf. Sue McKechnie, British Silhouette Artists and their works, p. 509, fig 964. This print was published in 1792, the print in Her Majesty's collection was printed four years later in 1796.
