The peppers are of plain cylindrical form and stand on a pedestal foot decoarted with a bold gadrooned edge. The rim is also decorated with gadrooning and the shaped pull off covers are pierced with entwined bands of roundels. The Peppers are in excellent condition and are fully marked on the main body and on the cover.

Holloware from Birmingham, made during the Georgian period, is extremely rare as this centre of production specialised in smallwares such as boxes, caddy spoons and wine labels. A very rare pair of peppers.

Diameter at the rim: 2 inches, 5cm.
