A Rare and Important Exhibition Cabinet attributed to Messrs Jackson and Graham completed in July 1876. Of mahogany and satinwood with ebony stringing it was made to display a collection of 44 Silver, Lacquer and Gold appliqué narrative and emblematic Komai panels which were shown in an exhibition of Japanese Works of Art in May 1876 in the Jackson & Graham showrooms at 37-38 Oxford Street, London. The individually numbered locks are by Chubb and were delivered and signed for on 12th July and the hinges are by Collinson & Lock.
