Finely painted with two panels showing the thirteen European factories ‘Hong’ of Canton (Guangzhou), reserved on a cell-diaper ground with further panels of animals and landscapes, the jetty crowded with Chinese river craft and European gentlemen going about their business in front of the ‘Hongs’, five of them flying their flags: Denmark, pre-revolutionary France, Sweden, Britain and Holland.
Consolidated hairline crack from the rim and over painted, chip to foot rim repaired.
