The clock is applied with gilt-bronze mounts and surmounted by a gilt-bronze eagle perched on a rocky outcrop. There is an egg and dart moulded cornice above a nine inch signed enamel Roman and Arabic dial with well pierced blued steel hands (eight day 1/2 hour striking movement).
The dial sits within an anthemion decorated hood and the tapering trunk has a laurel wreath and scroll and harp decoration. The base is decorated with a trophy of arms on a plinth base.
