A rare mid 18th century comb back Windsor armchair in ash, elm and sycamore. The chair has a broad two inch thick elm seat and four hand shaped legs which are through morticed and wedged. The back has a plain comb rail, turned spindles and centrally a flat upright pegged to the armbow which is in wonderfully patinated sycamore and is constructed in three parts, an early feature that is usually associated with chairs from the West Country.
