The Teaspoons are modelled in the Trefid style, with a rat tail on the rverse of the wide bowl. The front and reverse of the stem are engraved with stylised foliate designs and the reverse of the bowl with a foliate motif. The top of the stem is engraved with an oval cartouche containing a set of contemporary initials. Each is in excellent condition and are all well marked with the maker's mark of IH with a crown above and star below. This mark is shown on page 140 of Jackson's, "Silver & Gold Marks." It is most unusual to find a set of teaspoons in crisp original condition from this period.
