A Victorian inkstand, London 1893, Maker's mark of J.B. Carrington.
Engraved in the centre with Royal coronet and monogram 'VRI' for Queen Victoria.
Of waisted form with a shaped & moulded border & four scroll feet, fitted with two receivers, with hinged covers & glass liners, 10.6" Height:27 cm, length: 29.3 oz
Victoria Regina Imperatrix, for Queen Victoria as Queen of Great Britain & Ireland and Empress of India. 'She became the latter by an Act of Parliament in 1876.
