An unusual George V Scottish silver piggin or butter churn with an attractive fluted decoration and an appealing plain handle on one side. The inside of this piece has been nicely gilded and the hallmarks on the underside of the base are very clear and legible. There is also an inscription underneath which says that this piece was presented to Richard Pollock from his Godfather in 1923. On the handle there is a text that states" Some hae meat an canna eat,An some wad eat that want it,but we hae meat an we can eat,sae let the Lord be thankit". This piece is decorative and colletcable.
