A rare set of four turned bronze measures, each stamped with a reign mark for George IV, the central bands engraved with the capacities: Imperial pint; Imperial 1/2 pint; Imperial gill; Imperial 1/2 gill.

These beakers were made for measuring corn and a full set would range from an Imperial 1/2 gill through to a bushel (8 gallons).

Such objects were stamped by officials working for the Crown and each of these has a government stamp to the rim.
