Of shaped oval form with beaded rims, engraved at top and side with coats of arms and crests.
Very good.
The arms on the long side are those of Smith with Cox in pretense for Joseph Smith (1757-1812) and his wife Margaret Cox (1773-1847). The later arms on the short side are those of Greece with the House of Oldenburg in Pretence for the King of Greece. George I of the Hellenes (of the House of Oldenburg) was elected to the throne of Greece in 1863 and was assassinated in 1913. He was the brother of Queen Alexandra of England and Maria Feodorovna, wife of Alexander III of Russia. The Kings of Greece were deposed in 1924, to be replaced by a Republic, returned in 1935 but deposed again in 1973.
