A silver Tonbridge School Pen
Offered by Peter Cameron
Writing prizes in the form of quills, either in plain silver or silver-gilt, were supplied to Tonbridge School by the specialist smallworking firms Reily and Storer and Rawlings and Summers. The feathers took two forms either, as in this example, with a v-shape cut n the end, or, as with a rounded end.
The dimensions given below are for the quill without the case.
|Height||26.50 cm||(10.43 inches)|
|Width||3.70 cm||(1.46 inches)|
|Depth||0.50 cm||(0.20 inches)|
