Georges Jacob:

Georges Jacob (1739-1814) was the most famous and also the most prolific of all the joinery workshops specialising in carved giltwood tables and chairs. Patronised by the Queen and all the other members of the Royal family but hardly ever by the King. He supplied most of the seat furniture for The Queen at the following Royal Palaces,:the Trianon, Fontainebleau, Versailles, Saint-Cloud and Rambouillet.

Examples of his work can be seen in practically every Museum that has a collection of French Furniture.
