A superb portrait of Captain Henry Hopkins, of the 2nd Life Guards, in red uniform with blue facings, gold lace and gilt burnished scale on the epaulettes
Set in the original red leather traveling case
Captain Hopkins is recorded in Engleheart's fee book as having had his portrait taken in 1808. He was Captain from 1806 until he went on half pay between 1810 and 1812. The uniform is practically unrecorded.
