The Caster stands on a cast, stepped, circular foot which is decorated with beading. The baluster shaped main body is also decorated with a beaded band and is engraved at the front with a mirror cipher. The pull-off cover is also baluster shaped in form, with a beaded rim and terminates in a cast Neo Classical bell shaped finial. The cover is beautifully pierced with foliate sprays and flower heads. The caster is in quite excellent condition and is fully marked in the foot and with the sterling mark and maker's mark on the cover. Beaded Sugar Casters are extremely rare.
