The Ladle has an egg shaped bowl, which is attached to the silver section of the main body with a shield shaped moulding. This example displays an attractive turned fruitwood handle and is very well marked in the bowl. Most unusually, the exterior of the bowl is engraved with a contemporary Armorial, flanked by the initials I P. The ladle is in excellent condition and is very well marked.
