The Mustard Pot is oval in form with a beaded rim and base. The sides, most unusually, display two identical pierced bands, of vitruvian scrolls and Neo Classical urns in ovals. The sides are also engraved with foliate garlands and the scroll handle displays a pierced fan shaped thumb piece where it is attached to the cover. The hinged cover is engraved with a bright cut edge and a central navette shaped cartouche containing a contemporary Lion Rampant Crest. The Mustard Pot is fully marked on the base and with the Sterling mark on the cover. This piece is in excellent condition and is of the finest quality in terms of quality of production and design.
