The Vinaigrette is broad rectangular in form and both the cover, base and sides are decorated with a band of roundels on a prick dot ground. Both the base and cover display a sunburst panel and the cover a cartouche engraved with "E. Fisher 1843". The interior is finely gilded and displays a cast simulated filigree grille decorated with a stylised heart motif surrounded by a beaded frame.

Length: 1.25 inches, 3.13cm.
Width: 1 inch, 2.5cm.
