A very good pair of William IV silver twin handled entree dishes of oval form. The lids with hoop handles and the bases with twin handles of reeded decoration . The lids engraved with a crest of a leg with an arrow piercing it (couped) in a shield and a further crest of a wounded leg. The inside base of each dish similarly crested.

Identically marked to both lid and base for London 1833 by Edward, Edward Junior, John and William Barnard. One dish has a 1 on top and bottom and the other has a 2 on both top and bottom.

Height: 4.75 inches or 12cm
Weight (the pair): 2422g or 85.4 oz.
These are very good quality dishes of excellent gauge silver with no damage or repair. The hallmarks are a little rubbed but legible. Wonderful colour and patina.
