All Islamic art is a reminder of the reality of God and of the paradise to come. Beautiful objects serve not only to delight in this world, but are a promise of the grace awaiting in the next. In essence Christianity and Islam are not dissimilar. Christian art tries to convince the believer emphasizing the suffering of Christ. Islamic art attempts to uplift the believer with the promise of bliss. It is interesting to note that Islamic art and the art of the Christian tradition are really two branches of the same tree.
