An exceptional and very rare mid 19th century picture depicting the storming of the bastille, the scene entirely made of rolled paper.

The subject and composition of this picture are strongly related to the work of Leopold Morice who won the grand commission for supplying the Monument at the centre of the Place de la République, Paris. The base of which has a series of bronze relief panels one of which is the storming of the bastille. Please see the attached photo which shows similar figures in dramatic poses with a similar strong composition.
