A Victorian novelty Inkwell and Match Box in the form of a pair of hooves with two bridle bits between, London 1874, E.H. Stockwell. Engraved underneath with a design registration lozenge.
Later engraved on the two hooves ''Bramham Moor 1926' and ''2nd Prize'. The two lids of the hooves polished showing signs on an earlier engraving having been removed.
Good with lids over-polished and later inscription.
