The Vinaigrette is beautifully modelled as a handbag and is engraved all over with diamond motifs. The front also displays a vacant rectangular cartouche. The cover is engraved with stylised foliate motifs and the twisted ropework handle is attached to each side. The cover opens to reveal a slender grille pierced and engraved with foliate motifs and a central flower head.
