Stylistically this table shares many similarities with English furniture of the period although the use of Rosewood sets it apart. English furniture of the period was predominately manufactured in Walnut or Mahogany, Rosewood not being used until the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The shaped frieze of the table also sets it apart being more elaborately cut than one would expect from an English piece.
