| LINDSTRAND |
Lindestrand was a glass, ceramic and textile designer from Gothenburg. He made his debut as a glass designer at the Stockholm world fair in 1930 working for Orrefors, the major glass factory as a designer. His work was quickly recognised for its innovation and skill creating a whole new technique in engraved glass which he called Ariel. He had a brief flirtation with ceramics but was mainly interested in glass particularly the use of colour while working at the Kosta factory from 1950. His work is represented in many major museum collections.
