Constructed in gilt bronze, and dressed with ‘Sevres’ Bleu du Rois hand painted porcelain enhanced with a ‘running pearl’ motif; consisting of a clock and the pair of side urns; the clock rising from toupie feet, the front panel having a polychrome classical scene, with the circular dial over, with Roman numerals for the hours; the eight day movement striking the hours on a bell; the convex sides painted with bouquets of flowers, and capped with flambeaux finials; the side pieces of conforming style, painted with cartouches showing bucolic scenes of young lovers.
