In Honduras Mahogany, crossbanded in Satinwood, the drop flap upper section is removable, and sits on a base containing cupboards with mahogany lined interior drawers. The writing section is multi compartmented, with sections for stamps, correspondence, pen holders, inkwells and etc. and retains its’ original morocco bound diary, at home and house hold records and address books. With a morocco writing surface, and letter openers and a penwiper in the rising lid. Spring loaded drawers and fitted throughout, typical of this firm’s fine workmanship. Fitted with the makers nameplate, JC Vickery, 179/181 Regent Street London.
JC Vickery held the Royal Warrant from Edward V11th, and produced high quality bibelots. They were suppliers of pieces to Edward V11th, Queen Alexandra, The Prince and Princess of Wales, and the King of Portugal
