Charles James Plucknett. A small plate in the arts and crafts manner, London 1904.

For this maker see other entries of silver marked by Plucknett on this website. The firm of C.J. Plucknett supplied medical instruments as well as silversmiths' and enamellers' supplies. The mark of Plucknett appears on a set of arts and crafts teaspoons sold, and probably made, by Florence Rimmington of Kensington, London. The mark is also on a fine chased gold panel in the arts and crafts style framing a lock of hair, of 1896 in the Victoria and Albert Museum [museum number M.33-1939]. A miniature portrait of Plucknett was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1900, painted by the artist Alice Langford Cundy, who married the photographer Richard Neville Speaight.
