An exhibition of the studio works of Harry John Pearson 1872-1933.
A collection of oils, pastels, pencil sketches, and preliminary sketches, form his London studio.
Pearson studied at the RA, schools in the 1890s. He moved to Holland before the first war and joined an artist colony. He returned to London and illustrated for the Illustrated London News, Homes and Gardens, and Colour magazine. He exhibited at the Royal Society of British Artists. He developed a reputation as a children's portrait painter, as well as portraits of society women. He contributed to Queen Mary's famous dolls house. Framed in a contemporary ebonized black frame.
