The cover set with an enamel on copper panel depicting a young woman in a pink dress receiving a miniature of a suitor whilst seated at a table below swagged curtains of gold cloth, the underside with a woman in fashionable turban and blue and gold dress eating at a table served by a maid beneath purple swagged curtains, with reeded hinge mount and engraved thumbpiece, the sides engraved with foliate scrolls on a matted ground
