An early 19th century Brussels porcelain vase of Greek form, circa 1830; decorated with a finely painted rectangular reserve of the Lankenhalle in Ypres, with figures, horses and carriages in the foreground; on a maroon and richly gilded ground. Signed, and the underside inscribed 'pient par F. de Valeriola chez Demoulde-Coché-Bxelles'. Originally with a cover and pedestal.

The firm of Demeuldre of Brussels, specialising in fine china and glasswares, was founded in 1818 and is still in business.
