A rare Recency Period red painted tole peat or coal basket, the lid with finally cast brass handle and anthemion mounts, the tapering body with brass carrying handles, mythological beasts and raised upon leopard feet.

This classically inspired work is both decorative and useful. Whilst it was originally used for peat or coal, its function can easily be altered to suit more modern needs.
