The fabric covered head and footboard painted with floral and foliate designs, signed 'Laras'

Footnotes

This bed and a pair of single beds were made in London by a furniture and design firm set up by Lady Eleanor Lucy Kinloch shortly after the end of the World War I. The showroom and workshop were based in Chelsea and employed artists, many of whom were Italian, to paint and decorate the furniture. Patrons are understood to have included Queen Alexandra.
