An Exceptional Pair of Gilt-Bronze Four-Light Figural Wall Appliqués Depicting Flora and Zephyr, by Henry Dasson et Cie.

These unusual appliqués are an adaption of a model which Dasson exhibited to widespread acclaim at the Paris Exposition des Beaux Arts à Industrie of 1880.

The origin of the design can be found in an important pair of eighteenth century, two branch appliqués depicting Flora & Zephyr, now in the collection of the J. Paul Getty Museum, [85.DF.383].
