The central section is chased with Rococo scrolls and flower heads and the rest of the shaft is beautifully engraved with pluming scrolls, Rococo shell details and flower heads. This fine piece has eight unusual pear shaped bells, also engraved with the same crisp designs as are shown on the main body. The Rattle has its original coral and is well marked with the maker's mark on the mouth piece and remainder of the hallmarks are clearly shown by the scalloped section, where the coral is attached.
