An Exceptional William IV silver-gilt Ewer. Baluster shape, the lower body cast and chased with friezes of sea creatures and with two cast mermaids flanking the scroll handle and two cast tritons flanking the gryphon spout, the hinged cover cast with rocaille and applied with dolphins, the base cast with four seahorses, applied underneath with a detachable plate, marked on base, under body, inside cover, on base plate and fixing bolt, the base and body each further engraved 'No. 13 Published as the Act Directs by Storr & Mortimer 13 New Bond Street London, August 5th 1831'
