The Taperstick is cast, is baluster in form and stands on an octagonal base. The stem is also octagonally shaped and this example is very well marked in the foot. The Tapestick is in excellent condition and has a very good colour. The base is engraved with an unusual double collared lion Crest. Tapersticks are especially rare from this date and do not really exist before the reign of Queen Anne.

Height: 4.1 inches, 10.25cm.
Diameter of the foot: 2.75 inches, 6.88cm.
