This very fine William III piece has a slightly flared rim and the lower half of the Porringer is decorated with swirling lobes below a band of punched ovals and foliate motifs. The upper section is also decorated with a protruding lobed girdle, with semi circles above and below, as well as a second band of foliate designs. The front of the upper main body is also prick dot engraved with the contemporary initials IM surrounded by scrolls and stylised flower heads. The cast "S" scroll handles are beautifully modelled and decorated with ribbing. This example is very well marked, has a good colour, and gauge and is in excellent condition.
