The Snuff Box is broad rectangular in form, with slightly incurved sides. It is, however, cast and decorated with the unusual "Basket Weave" pattern, unusually in two sizes, on the cover base and sides. The decoration was influenced by the weaved wicker used to make baskets at this date. The gilding is exceptional and the condition of the interior is outstanding. The box is fully marked on the base and with the sterling mark and date letter on the cover.

Length: 3.25 inches, 8.13cm.
Width: 1.5 inches, 3.75 cm.
Height: 0.6 inches, 1.5cm.
